Personalising your Locker for Back To School

Smiggle, East Gardens.  Clever promotion with digital signage, good positioning at front of store, cross merchandising and use of colour - sure to be a hit amongst the BTS set.

Shh It's a Smiggle secret

Smiggle, East Gardens.  Some sort of book cover thingie from Smiggle - not sure how it will go, at first I thought they were selling books :\  Maybe a bit tooo clever ?

Smiggle Lights Up

Bondi Junction.  A colourful Xmas display from Smiggle in the mall.  Westfield's display approach in this mall (transparent Xmas tree cones) has stood the test of time, and still looks fresh.

Simplicity sells

Smiggle, East Gardens.  Great visual merchandising through the simple application of colour blocking. Colour unlocks a whole new dimension for shoppers even for simple products - contrast with the beige of Michael Hill jeweller - see earlier post.

Simply Smiggle video

Smiggle, Broadway (video). (apologies for quality) Simple concept that is eye-catching.  They have done a consistently good job at using the plasmas in their windows.  They are also good at keeping the content fresh.

The Colour Smiggle

Smiggle, Bondi Junction. Example of colour blocking to enhance visual impact in merchandising.

The Skinny on Smiggle's skin

Smiggle, Warringah.  Noticed this kiosk inside Smiggle - basically you can choose/ design a skin for some common devices: phone, laptop, ipod.  They continue to innovate - kudos to them.  Anyone tried this yet ?

Smiggle Invites

Smiggle, Broadway. This chain is promoting its party invitation and related stationery products. Good window displays but the plasma promo lacks the punch of previous efforts.

SMIGGLE STORE FORMULA

Smiggle store interior shows off the simplicity of the design + funky colours + colour blocked merchandise = pleasant  shopping experience (in essence). Funky with frugality ?

THE DARK SIDE OF SMIGGLE

Actually, the lighter side of Smiggle's quirky merchandise - the mouse mat. You wouldn't want to tempt fate :)

SMIGGLE DOES SPACE STORY

Smiggle, East Gardens. Nice, colourful product. Great display.

SMIGGLE SMILES

Smiggle, Bondi Junction.  An engaging LCD video display again - one of their strengths.

A BATTY SMIGGLE

Smiggle, social stationery store, Broadway.  Striking LCD of new range of fun stationery - just happens to coincide with Harry Potter movie release :)  and the school holidays.  They use their windows very effectively, by far the best exponents I have seen of window LCDs.

Smiggle Goes Bats

Smiggle, East Gardens.  Clever use of Bats merchandise range to pick up on the current Harry Potter hype.

SMIGGLE ENERGISES AND ORGANISES

Smiggle, East Gardens. Interesting concept - energise (through colour and simple design) and organise your life. More mass market than KikkiK, but effective through use of limited colours and colour blocking in merchandising.

SMIGGLE'S MONEY TREE

Smiggle, Broadway. Fresh content on plasma screen catches attention.

SMIGGLE

Smiggle, East Gardens. This shot shows the quirky, colourful product - contrast with Kikki.K.

CLEAN LINES

Kikki.K Broadway. Simple, clean lines. As you would expect from a store positioning itself on 'organisation'.
