Why We Buy - Prompting #consumer


Sometimes we need just a nudge in life to get us across the line. All the better if that nudge is from someone we like, and who has a smile. If we are in two minds, someone who connects and who affirms us by treating us with respect, can persuade us to do something we would not otherwise have done. Pity then that many retailers do not train their staff to engage their customers with respect and a smile. It would go a long way to encouraging purchase. It should be simple - understand how your customers want to be treated and engaged. Insight pays.
